About Dr. Lazzara
Dr. John Lazzara attended the LSU School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996. After dental school, he enrolled at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at St. Louis University, where he completed at 30-month residency program in Orthodontics, earning his Master of Science degree in 1998.
Dr. Lazzara is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation, Florida Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Beaches Study Club. He was among the first orthodontists in the U.S. trained to use the Invisalign system, achieving Invisalign certification in 1999. He is Northeast Florida’s only certified provider for the revolutionary iBraces custom lingual appliance system. Dr. Lazzara has also achieved Board Certification by the American Board of Orthodontics, meaning he has voluntarily completed an additional examination to further refine and demonstrate his diagnostic and clinical skills.
Dr. Lazzara and his wife, Jennifer, have three sons. In his spare time he enjoys golf, fishing, running and cycling. He is also actively involved with the United Way and in youth sports, and was named Recreational Coach of the Year by the Ponte Vedra Soccer Club in 2007.
